Men in Black: International (2019)

Men in Black: International (2019) is the latest in the popular comedy science fiction series Men in Black. For a film that didn’t have the original stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, it was engaging but fails to impress due to a weak plot. The lead pair Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth have given a satisfying performance, I hope they continue the series with them in the future but with more imaginative stories. Available on Netflix, this gets a Raw.

Agent H ( Chris Hemsworth) of the UK branch of MIB is assigned to escort and entertain an alien royal Vungus the Ugly, in this task, H is joined by a new recruit Agent M ( Tessa Thompson). Failing in their assignment, the two work hard to crack the murder of Vungus and eventually save the planet from destruction by the Hive, a parasitic race. Predictable twists and turns follow in their pursuit.

Men in Black: International starring Tessa Thompson & Chris Hemsworth

MIB series is known for its imagination of high-tech gadgets made with alien technologies. In that area, MIB International didn’t disappoint me. I enjoyed the ultra-high-speed train that is shown to run secretly between London and the USA. Similarly, the rocket ‘red’ bike (seen below) was fun to watch. The alien lifeform living as a chess set with a queen and pawns was super cool.
